Tun Tun Aye is an award-winning photographer and indie documentary film maker in hobby, based in Yangon, Myanmar. He captures travel,  landscape and political and social issues in Myanmar whilst he works for companies and volunteer organizations. His powerful and personal photo-essays and documentaries have exhibited in main photo and film festivals in Myanmar and other countries.

Tun was inspired early on to combine his passions for photography and film-making when he began making documentaries in 2011. He is one of the founders and trainers of Myanmar Image Makers.

Myanmar Image Makers, founded by four photojournalists/documentary photographers, aims to share its photojournalism and documentary photography and is conducting free photography workshops at the Institut Francais de Birmanie.

Tun was committed to witnessing to the lives and issues facing ordinary Myanmar people and to bring their stories to a global audience in a real and meaningful way through photography and videography.
